Hearing Aid Technician:  Evelyn Barbeau

The role of the Hearing Aid Technician in the University of Connecticut Speech and Hearing Clinic is to provide clients with quality professional and courteous service related to hearing aid purchases and repairs.  Ms. Barbeau processes hearing aid purchases and performs computerized testing on them to assure compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications.  She also performs minor hearing aid repairs and determines if they can be serviced here or need to be sent to the manufacturer for repair.  Ms. Barbeau will also assist clients in making purchases and supplies related to their hearing aids.
